Tbilisi Collective

Tbilisi, Georgia, 2023

To mark the closing of the summer season, Tbilisi Collective hosted a projection photo showcase at Mutant Radio – an independent cultural platform and radio station in Tbilisi. The event featured the work of nearly 80 contributing photographers, both Georgian and international, who have participated in our platform’s open calls, monthly themes, or long-standing collaborations.

The selection included photographs submitted throughout the year to our ongoing Instagram curation, forming a visual tapestry of the everyday, the unseen, and the emotionally charged moments that shaped our collective memory of the year. The showcase was not centered around a single theme, but rather celebrated the diversity of voices, aesthetics, and perspectives within the Tbilisi Collective network.

Accompanying the projections was a curated musical set performed by Tbilisi Collective’s music-enthusiast members. This created a multisensory atmosphere where photography, music, and community came together in an informal but intentional celebration of creative exchange.

This showcase reflected our commitment to building inclusive creative spaces, both online and on the ground, that highlight emerging talent, foster collaboration, and blur the boundaries between artistic disciplines.
