Tbilisi Collective Exhibition & Photography Workshops
Tbilisi, Georgia, 2021
Exhibition
This marked Tbilisi Collective’s first-ever curated exhibition, hosted at the renowned Stamba Hotel. It was a landmark event that laid the groundwork for a broader, more inclusive photographic culture in Georgia. The exhibition showcased photographs taken by Georgian photography enthusiasts, offering them a platform for visibility, growth, and potential entry into the professional art scene.
The exhibition featured around 300 works by over 100 Georgian photographers, thoughtfully selected within the scope of eight thematic categories: Red, Black & White, Body/Skin, Portraits, Nature, Flowers, Water, Pink.
This ambitious curatorial effort not only expanded the circle of Georgian photography but also sparked a wider public interest in visual storytelling and everyday aesthetics. Each theme offered a different entry point into personal and collective narratives, filtered through the lenses of emerging talents.
Photography Workshops
Following the exhibition, two days of photography workshops brought together professionals and aspiring artists for a dynamic exchange of knowledge, experience, and inspiration. Led by some of Georgia’s most established photographers, architects, and cultural producers, the workshops covered four key areas: Film Photography, Architecture & Urban Documentation, Fashion Photography, Street Photography.
The sessions were designed to be accessible, hands-on, and community-oriented, encouraging experimentation and dialogue across disciplines.
