The photo depicts Anita’s father, Dato Chubinishvili – director, film scholar, screenwriter.

“An exceptionally magical light enters our house. I was taught to play with the light, to shoot the details so that we could catch naturally magical light. During this process, he liked to talk about photographers, directors, his favorite details in one or another film. When he spoke about the cinema, he would smoke a cigarette. Father was not allowed to smoke; he had a bad illness – Emphysema. Inducing cigarette deeply, smoke would mix up with the light, I loved it. The cigarette was burning for itself. He would start talking in a calm voice. While thinking and talking together, you could hear whistleblowing in a low voice at the end of his sentence. Ssss… And he would continue to talk. He had beautiful, long and thin fingers. The movement of his hand resembled to the conductor’s movements for me. I loved how gently he would describe details. During one of our conversations, I took this photo. Only hands, which exhibited his character and purity that I miss very much.
